LA TAQUIZA: SALSA & TORTILLA MAKING CLASS & FEAST

Become everyone’s favorite party guest after mastering five classic Mexican salsas in this hands-on salsa & tortilla cooking class.

At the cooking location of your choice, you’ll learn how a seemingly small range of simple ingredients can transform into countless unforgettable salsas with myriad uses. Then, you’ll get to work making five delicious varieties entirely from scratch: raw green salsa, cooked green salsa, red molcajete salsa with chipotle, salsa macha and Yucatán-style pickled red onions.

Next, you’ll discover the techniques essential to making perfect corn tortillas before practicing pressing and cooking your own from fresh masa.

Just over an hour later, whether you cook at our Art Deco apartment in Condesa, on our art gallery rooftop or at our vintage tequila tasting room, you’ll set the table with responsibly sourced artisanal serveware and build the tacos of your dreams using a wide range of fillings and your very own salsa buffet.

“We had a hands on salsa and tortilla making class with Jim and Jesse that was informative, fun and delicious. Both shared their expertise in the nuances of Mexican ingredients and geographical variations. It was delightful to sit down to a meal at the end of our class of the food we’d prepared, augmented with some other Mexican dishes.”
